We arrived home from watching National Treasure last night only to find that our electric gate would not open. Realising we were having another power outage was only slightly annoying. They will get it fixed in no time... afterall, they just had that major power cut only a couple of weeks ago, and TNB had promised that it would not happen again. Time to whip out my collection of flashlights!
Unfortunately, the power did not come back on until 4.30am!
Its funny how quite it gets when the power goes out especially in the middle of the night. The biggest noise contributor in my house is the water feature. Without it turned on, we could practically hear every russtle, and practically every car passing by. The combination of the heat and the bloody mossies meant that I was unable to sleep so I took many patrols outside. It was definately cooler. My neighbour's car was running, I guess he needed proper sleep and resorted to using the car's airconditioner.

Damn...another good reason for not going back to KL.
To be fair... I know the great USA has more black-outs or brown-outs than we do here in Malaysia.
Well certainly not in Seattle. I've lived here for almost 8 years and I've only experienced one blackout.
Seattle's a nice place if you like London weather... ;-) Grey, cold, cloudy, and wet. And that's in summer... hehehe >;-)
Contrary to popular belief, Seattle is not always wet and gray and cold. Heck it's quite bright and sunny most of the time. It's in the middle of Winter and it looks like spring here! The weather here is always mild. Never gets too cold or too hot. It's just right.
I have pictures to prove it!

My...defensive, aren't we... *best Katherine Hepburn glance over her left shoulder* >;-)
Seattle has been given a bad rep by hollywood.... To be fair.. its a nice place to reside...
